Awkward Band Photos
Hall & Oates
We have a number of images from this session, but I think this one really hits the ole awkward nail on the head. You’ve got 2 presumably platonic band mates cuddled up together on a Vespa scooter. One of them is wearing wedge sandals and bell-bottom pants. Not that there’s anything wrong with any of these things. It’s just that all together, this image purports something I don’t think they intended.

Not sure who the target audience is here. But maybe, it’s us?
Alabama
I found this image years ago, and dubbed it the “Alabama Reacharound.” We have shots from several different concerts of the band pulling off these complicated rock n’ roll gymnastics. So they must’ve rehearsed it. That’s quite a thing to imagine. Not sure how it sounds, but it sure does look a wee bit awkward.

Ok, ok. This is not a band photo. And it’s not so much awkward as creepy. Anyway, I came across it doing a client request a few months ago. I needed to share it because It has haunted me ever since. Perhaps I can sleep again now. Good luck…
The Osmonds
I don’t think there is a picture of The Osmonds that isn’t awkward. And by awkward, I mean awesome! It was hard to settle on just one. But white matching tuxedos with pastel sequins? Sold!

How about some underage drinking in a random dive bar in Detroit thousands of miles away from your parents under the watchful eye of confirmed sex-freak Kim Fowley? Sure girls. Would you like that straight up or on the rocks?
Kid n’ Play
For how perfectly planned out their mighty haircut angles are, you might have thought they would have noticed the completely unintentional romantic overtones.
Three Dog Night
We have shown you the “Alabama Reacharound.” I don’t even know what to make of this. The dude riding caboose looks pretty disinterested. The guy on the bottom looks like he’s having a little too much fun. If there were such a thing.
